Sascha Busse
I was never interested in an industry. I was interested in how I could design my own life.
I'm Sascha — entrepreneur, investor, and the person behind Crypto Compass. This page isn't a biography. It's an attempt to explain how I think — and why.

To me, freedom means one thing above all: having options.
Not owning as much money as possible, or being on vacation all the time. It means being able to decide over my own time. Understanding what happens with my money. Not being blindly dependent on others. And being able to make decisions because I understand the structure behind them.
For me, money and technology are tools to expand freedom of choice — not the meaning of life.
That's also why technology, AI, and automation don't interest me because they're impressive. They interest me when they give me back time, reduce complexity, and enable better decisions. A system is allowed to take work off my plate. It's not allowed to take away my understanding.
From chasing the next opportunity to building my own structure.
I used to be more fascinated by opportunities and possibilities than by the structure behind them. I believed freedom came from spotting the right investment, the right trend, or the next big move early enough.
My clearest lesson in that came from crypto: I experienced firsthand what happens when conviction and speed outweigh structure and risk awareness. It was expensive — and exactly because of that, formative.
Since then, my perspective has shifted. I no longer believe freedom comes from finding the next opportunity. It comes from understanding what you're doing, being able to carry risk, and building systems that still work once the euphoria is gone.
How I make decisions.
With difficult decisions, I first separate emotion from decision. I want to understand exactly what I'm deciding, what risk I'm taking on, and what consequences I can carry. I don't have to be maximally committed right away — I'd rather start small, observe, learn, and only grow once my understanding has grown with it. Fear and euphoria are poor decision-making systems, as far as I'm concerned.
Just as important is what I don't do. I don't want to make people dependent on me. I don't promise returns nobody can control. I don't sell signals that replace understanding. And I don't make a decision just because everyone else is jumping on it right now. If I don't understand why I'm doing something, that's a warning sign to me — not a reason to move faster.
Where Crypto Compass comes from.
Crypto Compass grew out of that: the desire to structure capital, crypto, and technology in a way that lets people make better decisions for themselves.
